NAT112 SAVANNA TRADITIONNEL 17 years 2004/2021 'Whisky Finish' - 12 years tropical + whisky HHD July 2020 Traditionally made from molasses, this rum is very aromatic and balsamic as expected from this distillery, with a fresh, minty and oaky nose. The olfactory intensity is also matched on the palate, thanks to the high oak extract from the first 12 years of tropical aging. It has a very tannic presence to balance the inherent round character of the sugarcane, resulting in a very juicy flavor with spice and sweetness at the same time. Cinnamon, spice extracts and a certain dark leathery quality build in intensity to a particularly warm and slightly astringent finish.
