Following the tradition of our recent bottlings from this distillery on the Isle of Mull, this whisky perfectly matches a rugged and intense smoky character that is so typically coastal with a juicy rounded body and a sweet malty background that showcases a full, ripe and very clean style. The maritime notes are complemented by the creamy character of second fill bourbon casks: the result is a single malt of great maturity, bold but well behaved, with the brine of the sea matched by a smooth and fruity side. As much as the nose is peated and citrusy, at the palate there is a great balance between soot, tar and smoke, and the notes of vanilla, apples and bananas. To tame its bold power, just add a drop of fresh water and enjoy a malt of great complexity. Distilled: 2008 Bottled: 2020 Vol: 56,4%
