With this series, Master Distiller Alex Chasko unleashes on us some special maturities. The base of the editions is single pot still with 50% malted barley and 50% unmalted barley (from the new distillery at Newmarket in Dublin). And that's great, because the potential of their single pot still is now fully expressed.

It kicks off with a Virgin Chinkapin Oak: no finish but an integral maturation on this American wood with a typical, wider grain. Think here of a profile of spicy gingerbread and banana cake. Again, a limited edition not to be missed which, moreover, and that is not unimportant, is bottled at 50% ABV. So it gives just that little extra to make the Chinkapin Oak shine in the glass. Well done, Alex!
