The rum in this cask n° 1043 is a creation specially developed for “Le Salon du Rhum de Spa” in collaboration with Claudia Hamm from Premium Spirits and Vincent Thill manager of the rum fest.

This original TH1 blend combines two molasses rums, each aged 5 years in French ex-cognac oak barrels:

The first is Savanna’s traditional molasses rum.

The second is none other than their famous original “Herr”.

The famous “Herr” is a high ester rum with an exuberant profile distilled in 2006 and rested for several years in stainless steel vats before barrel aging.

The blend was placed 56 days in cell n° 4, the famous Savanna humid cellar (chai humide) in cask 1043, an American oak cask with specific toasting.

It was released on March 31, 2020 and then reduced to 50%ABV to reveal elegance and balance.
