Plantation Vintage Panama 2008 Vintage collection Under the Sea 45,7%

In July you were introduced to the last Plantation Vintage that belonged to the 'Bird Series'. As announced at the time, Plantation is now striking out in a new direction with their next series and it is once again a hit!

It is with great pride that we introduce you to the latest Vintage: the Panama 2008 with a beautiful new design. This time the theme is all about 'Under the sea animals' and for this first launch a whale is showing off on the label.

If you are a big Plantation fan like us, you will no doubt buy the next Vintage launches as well, as the rewards will be handsome. This is because once you place all the 'Under the sea animals' Vintages side by side and see the whole of all the labels, a beautiful fresco emerges. To admire the complete picture you will have to be patient, but this 1st launch is already not to be missed!

The Panama 2008 has a fermentation of 2 to 3 days behind to be distilled in 2008 in a Column Still. Then the rum for 12 years a tropical ageing in Bourbon barrels and then, as is the custom of Plantation, a final continental ageing of one year in Cognac Ferrand barrels.

The nose is full of fruity and spicy scents. So you can enjoy red berries, peaches, orange zest and nutmeg. Over time, the spiciness comes more strongly through aromas of lemongrass and white pepper.

Your taste buds are in turn treated to flavors of honey, red apple and toasted hazelnuts. All this with the subtle taste of toffee. The Panama 2008 ends with a spicy aftertaste combined with chocolate notes.
