Rest & Be Thankful was created in 2012 by independent bottler Fox Fitzgerald Brands, traditionally specializing in bottling exceptional cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky. The name refers to the majestic site of Rest & Be Thankful in Scotland's Loch Lomond Nature Park.

Coincidentally, Rest & Be Thankful is also the name of a mountain in Jamaica's Cockpit Country Nature Park. Scotland is famed for its whiskey, Jamaica for its rum, so Rest & Be Thankful will bottle both, starting in April 2022 with a Monymusk small batch, as well as two aged single casks from Long Pond and Monymusk and a Monymusk single cask exclusively bottled for The Nectar.
