Macallan N°6 48,6°

All five different types of barrels used to make Edition No. 6 were hand selected by The Macallan Whisky Maker Steven Bremner. He was inspired by unique stories about the river and surrounding landscape. American and European oak barrels were selected to create a flavor profile that will deliver a multi-faceted experience; from the attractive rich brass natural color, to the layers of aroma, followed by the deep and rewarding taste.

The legendary River Spey flows through the estate and is known worldwide as the home of the mighty Atlantic salmon. The Macallan Ghillie is a guardian of the River Spey and advocates for the conservation of wildlife in and around the Spey. At our mile and a half from the river, few can test their skills in hopes of catching - and releasing - wild Atlantic salmon using Hardy's incomparable equipment.

Wild Atlantic salmon are in danger of becoming an endangered species. That's why The Macallan is working with the Atlantic Salmon Trust to help raise awareness about it and to support vital conservation work on the River Spey and beyond.
