The very first exclusive limited edition of Belgian Owl!

For this exclusive edition, Master distiller Etienne Bouillon met Miguel Martins of the cooperage José Y Miguel S.L., They shared their knowledge, experiences, vision and tasted together the Belgian Owl Single Malt Whisky.

They searched together for the right casks to bring completely new flavors to the Whisky. The casks used for this first limited edition are casks made from Spanish oak in which Pedro Ximenes Sherry has matured. The Belgian Owl whisky was first aged for 5 years in First Fill Bourbon casks and then finished in these Pedro Ximenes Sherry casks.

Etienne Bouillon told us that the limited edition will consist of 2 different versions:

The first version consists of a finish of less than 1 month. This changes the color and flavor of the whiskey naturally. You will notice that this whisky is much darker in color and more intense in flavor.

The second version, scheduled for 2022, will consist of letting the finishing take between 3 and 4 months and will thus affect the color and taste even more intensely.

The distinctive aromas of the Belgian Owl Single Malt Whisky are also richly present in this limited edition: white flowers, butter caramel and toasted oak.

The sherry cask further embellishes the palette with complex notes of cherries, caramel and cinnamon.
